Our Team

Our team comprises tenured investment professionals with deep research experience, who focus on helping clients to identify their financial outlooks and navigate complex financial decisions. We take pride in the length of our associates’ tenures with K&B; nearly all have risen through the ranks and attained leadership positions after devoting many years to the firm.

We view each client as a client of the entire firm, and we collaborate to create custom solutions that suit each organization and family’s unique needs.

Scott Kimelman

Partner & Co-Chief Investment Officer

For nearly three decades, Scott has applied his research and trading expertise to help maximize returns for clients at K&B. As a senior member of the leadership team, Scott serves on the firm’s investment and compliance committees and focuses on portfolio construction, risk management, and asset allocation.

A trained research analyst, Scott began his career as a Trading Assistant at Weiss, Peck & Greer. He then became a member of the NYSE – indeed, he was one of the youngest members ever to sign the NYSE book – and served as Director of all NYSE Floor Operations for K&B. Over the subsequent decades, Scott shifted his focus to research and prepared detailed financial statements, in-depth analysis and valuation of portfolio companies and peer analysis. In 2010, Scott was named a partner of the firm.

As Co-Chief Investment Officer, Scott leverages his research expertise and deep understanding of market structure to create custom solutions that best serve each individual client.
