Kimelman & Baird, LLC is a registered investment advisor and broker-dealer in New York City with $1.3 billion in assets under management.

Michael Kimelman and Sheila Baird meet at Andresen & Co, where they work as a trader and an analyst, respectively.

1965

M. Kimelman & Co. is established as a broker dealer and opens its doors at 20 Exchange Place in New York City.

1966

Joseph “Teddy” Giattino joins the firm as a partner.

1967

Robert Euler joins the firm as a partner and produces a research report on Nucor Corporation. This represents a pivotal point in K&B’s rich history of conducting top-tier research.

1970

Pat Ross-Kimelman joins the firm.

1972

Sheila is elected President of the Financial Women’s Association (FWA).

1974

Sheila appeared on Wall Street Week and recommended Nucor. 

1975

M. Kimelman & Co. becomes a Registered Investment Advisor.

1975

M. Kimelman & Co. moves to 100 Park Avenue.

1977

Sheila journeys to China with the FWA, where they were invited to study the nation’s economic structure, business enterprises, political framework, and social organizations.

1978

Bernadette Murphy joins M. Kimelman & Co., bolstering the firm’s stock selection and technical analysis.

1986

Scott Kimelman joins the firm as Director of NYSE floor operations. He is one of the youngest members ever to sign the NYSE book.

1988

Scott joins the firm’s research team, which he will eventually lead.

1993

M. Kimelman & Co. renamed Kimelman & Baird, LLC.

1995

Sapan Vyas joins the firm.

2001

Yasmeen Mock joins the firm.

2002

Joyce Chan joins the firm.

2005

Scott Kimelman is named partner.

2010

Sapan Vyas and Yasmeen Mock are named partners.

2013

Nicole Wilson joins the firm.

2016

K&B celebrates 50 years of business.

2016

After 40 years at 100 Park Avenue, K&B moves to 800 3rd Avenue.

2017

K&B rolls out FinLife to better identify each client’s unique relationship with money.
